King Corn. It honestly suprised me how much corn we use. I never realized how lost we would be without corn. Corn is in everything we use.
ReplyDeleteI never realized how much corn we use. Corn is in almost all foods we eat. If people are over eating, the more corn they have causing they to be obease.
ReplyDeleteConsidering Corn is in almost everything these days and contributes to the global system in such magnified amounts, it is possible that this could have adverse effects on the human body and/or lifestyle. Given the recent rise in obesity in the American society, where corn related products are more prevalent, it is possible that these two variables could have a very direct correlation. This is still a theory, however, and is unproven to the majority of society, as well as unlikely the sole cause (given the other unknown variables at work.)-Chris Lansing
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see how much corn we use everyday. its in the majority of our food. I think that if there other healthier solutions than modifying corn, obesity wouldnt be such a big issue in the U.S.
ReplyDeletei think that since corn is so fattining and the fact that they put corn in most products they make these days it contributes greatly to the percentage of obesity
ReplyDeletei never thought we used so much corn in our world. But corn is everything today. And i agree with casey. if you eat to much corn you get obeased. and thats not good. corn is fatting.
ReplyDelete-Siera-
corn is being used in basically every product we consume today, using the corn as a substitue for the real thing (which in many cases it is) such as high fructose corn syrup, you deprive your body of natural nutrients that are in the things that are naturally flavored, made using natural ingredients, not some man made substance. If America cut down on its use of corn products than the obesity rate would decrease.
ReplyDeleteI always thought of corn as corn. I never thought it would be in everything including our hair.
ReplyDeleteI never realized how dependent the American food industry is on corn. If we didn't have corn, we wouldn't be able to have as much of the types of food that we all know today.
ReplyDeleteThey use corn for basically everything we eat. Most people probably don't know this and continue to eat large amounts of corn, causing them to gain weight. If they knew about this they could probably limit themselves and maybe obesity would decrease.
ReplyDeleteits surprising how corn is used in pretty much every food out there. this explains why were abusing it and not knowing what great risks were putting ourselves at and also how people eat way too much of it making themselves obese. if more people of aware of this the phase will hopefully just pass
ReplyDeleteI believe that corn is related to the increased rate of obesity because corn goes back to almost every food. When we think corn we think we're only eating it when we choose to. But we eat it in beef from the factory-farm raised cows. We also eat it in almost any sugar based product, (corn syrup). Even things we think are healthy like crackers tend to have corn syrup in them. With all this, its not surprise that the obesity rate has increased so much recently.
ReplyDeleteI never really thought about how much we use corn, and i never thought that when you grow corn you can just pick it and eat it because it doesnt taste like corn.
ReplyDeleteI agreee with ryan on how denpent the american food indrusty is on corn.
after watching king corn i relized how much corn people in the world really use and that is alot of corn . corn is used in almost every thing we use
ReplyDeleteWhen seeing the video on corn i didnt know that it caused obesity i always thought that corn was healthy. Since corn is in almost every product such as soda and syrup..items like those are what cause obesity. I agree with katie if more people are aware of the use of certain items hopefully the phase just passes.
ReplyDeleteI never realized how lost we would be without corn.everything we eat is King Corn
ReplyDeleteI agree with Felicia and Katie, I think obesity rates could definitely go down if everyone became more aware of what they are actually eating.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised on how much corn we consume in our country. It's in almost everything we eat, which is why weve seen the obesity rate rise throughout the last decade. The country should be more aware of the negatives to corn, and look for healthier alternatives.
ReplyDeleteI aslo agree with Matt, in that if we cut down on corn, the obesity rate will decrease.
ReplyDeletewhen i saw how much corn we used i was shocked. i never relized that we lived off of corn. I think it makes the population fater. like everyone is getting fatter every year.
ReplyDeleteafter watching "King Corn" i realized how much we eat corn. there is corn in a lot of things that we eat causing the obisety rate to increase every year.
ReplyDeletei also agee with matt that if we cut down on corn in the food we eat then the obesity rate will decrease.
ReplyDeleteI really never realized how much corn we use. Corn is in just about all foods we eat. If people are over eating its most likely from corn which causes the obesity rate to increase every year.
ReplyDeleteI agree, i never thought that we ate so much or. I kind of gross me out to relize that we drink corn and eat corn in meat and other foods.

ReplyDeleteIt really surprizes me that mostly every product we eat has corn in it. it is really weird that we have corn in everything no matter what.
ReplyDeleteit amazes me how many products have corn in it. if we didnt have corn then we probablly wouldnt have as many foods as we have today.
ReplyDeleteLuke.
I had no idea about the amount of corn in everything we eat.
ReplyDeleteits because corn syrup makes you fat and is not good for you
ReplyDeleteI think that corn could contribute the the obesity rate because factories and companies just use it as a filler in food. It is a not a healthy or nutricious food and they should try to find a healthy alternative. I agree with Alexis that it is gross to think all we eat is corn.
ReplyDeleteHigh fructose corn syrup is made from corn and it is a high contributing factor in obesity.
ReplyDeleteIt surprised me how much corn is in our everyday diet, corn is a cause for growing obesity because it is in practically everything we eat, including junk food, and soda.
ReplyDeleteIt hard to beleve that corn can be found in your hair since weve eaten so much of it.
ReplyDeleteI think its disgusting at how much big business uses corn in almost all food products. Its frightening to think that they don't care enough that they're essentially pushing the world towards an obese future.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know how much corn was in our food. And i agree with Alexis. It is hard to beleive
ReplyDeleteI nnnneevverrrrr knew we had all that corn in us.
ReplyDeleteI did not know that corn could possibly be in so many things/foods. I think that if our country cut down on its use for corn, there would be a lot less obese/overweight people, because corn is fattening and being overused.
ReplyDeletethe king corn video showed me that they are mostly the reasobn why there is so much obesity. are body dose not naturaly digest corn what isnt used or leaves the body is stored in fat tissue and it builds up. and i allso agree with alexis it truely is hard to beleive
ReplyDeletei agree with coleman but if corn is a vegetable..how is it so unhealthy?
ReplyDeleteKing Corn. We usse a lot of corn without even noticing it, and its causing people to be obese. Corn is in just about everything we eat.
ReplyDeletei think its crazy for how much corn we eat.
ReplyDeletebut imma try to answer xarry101x600 question, well when you eat corn everyday and just because it a vegetable doesnt mean it bad for but i wouldnt say from wat i see its good for u to eat it everyday. it should be severd w/ a meal not in every meal u eat with out knowing its there.
nothing is good for u if u eat it everyday. i wonder if they took corn out of the food if it would still taste the same and or even not be there at all?
kylee
It's amazing how dependent we are on corn that is pumped with chemicals. over 90% of products on shelves have a form of corn, corn syrup, or corn sugar. all of wich is of course genetically modified. i think we need to find something else to base our foods on, other than corn.
ReplyDeletei agree with ryan burke because he's right and because ryan burke kicks ass.
ReplyDeletei think corn is a major problem relating to obesity. most fooditems and drinks have a source of corn in it. the corn is modified which makes it unhealthier.
ReplyDeleteCorn is in everything that we eat, so the more food you eat, the more corn you have, the fatter you get.
ReplyDeleteafter watching the video "king corn" i realized that mostly everything you eat has cornevn stuff trhat you drink.
ReplyDeletewe should put less corn in foods
ReplyDeletei agree with woody 68
ReplyDeletebecause corn is in almost all foods it is a main sorce of obesity in people
ReplyDeleteI feel that there is a correlation with obesity and with corn consumption. Corn has no real nutritional value so putting it in many products regularly consumed can be harmful to peoples health. We need to start using alternatives that are more effective in the food and many other aspects of humanity.
